The apartments compared

An apartment here is a self-contained unit that its own listing calls one, such as Zetter Suites @ Cameron³ or a fully furnished apartment in the centre of Ringlet⁴. The table isn’t a ranking: it follows how often each place is searched.

Brinchang, Tanah Rata or Ringlet: where the apartments are

Most of the apartments are in Brinchang, the highest of the three towns⁶. Tanah Rata and Ringlet each have a few.

Brinchang apartments

Zetter Suites @ Cameron is 1 km from Cameron Highland Golf Club and has 60 guestrooms³. Emerald Avenue’s Clover Home unit is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom apartment for up to 8 guests¹⁰.

Crown Imperial Court is an apartment block built in 2009 at the top of Brinchang town⁷.

Tanah Rata and the golf course

If you’re searching for a serviced apartment, Oakwood Cameron Highlands is a 383-key golf-front serviced residence in Tanah Rata⁸. It’s managed by The Ascott Limited and sits on a hilltop directly overlooking the Sultan Ahmad Shah Golf Club⁸.

Oakwood’s units range from deluxe rooms and studios to two-bedroom family suites of up to 969 sq ft⁸. Strawberry Park Resort is a short way out of town, on a 7-acre hill between Tanah Rata and Brinchang⁹.

Ringlet

Cozy Homestay @ Ringlet Cameron [2BR] is the apartment option in Ringlet, the town where the roads from Tapah and Raub/Kuala Lipis meet⁶. For bus and road directions, see getting to Ringlet, Pahang.

Checked apartment prices beyond the table

Strawberry Park Resort publishes its own rates, and Wikivoyage lists two more apartment buildings. Strawberry Park’s Studio Room costs RM600 nett² (checked October 2026) a night.

Strawberry Park’s own tariff is well above the RM350⁷ studio rate Wikivoyage gives, so treat the Wikivoyage figures as a rough guide. The resort says its published rates have no peak-period surcharge².

Who apartments suit, and who should look elsewhere

Apartments suit groups who want one shared base and their own kitchen. They’re a poor fit if you want breakfast laid on or your dates might change.

Apartments work well for:

• Families and groups: Strawberry Park’s Shasta Family Suite has two big bedrooms, two single-size rooms and a large living room¹¹, and Clover Home markets its Emerald Avenue unit as a family homestay¹².
• Self-caterers: Zetter’s kitchens have refrigerators and stovetops³.
• Drivers: the Emerald Avenue unit comes with one free parking space in a garage¹⁰.

Look elsewhere if:

• You want breakfast included: Zetter Suites doesn’t provide breakfast³, and at PLAY at Nova Retreat Kea Farm breakfast is not provided¹.
• Your plans might change: several operators don’t refund paid bookings (see the rules below).

Booking rules: deposits, payment and check-in

Apartment operators set their own rules on payment and deposits, and they’re often stricter than hotel rules. These are the ones they publish.

Taxes on top of the rate

• Non-Malaysian guests pay RM10 tourism tax per room per night¹⁶ (checked October 2026).
• Malaysians don’t pay tourism tax¹⁷ at any hotel in the country.
• Homestays and premises with fewer than five rooms¹⁷ don’t charge tourism tax, so ask your host whether it applies.
• The Pahang State Government adds a sustainability charge of RM3 per room per night¹⁶.
